Recruitment Process at Rail Safety Recruitment Board

Safety Culture in Railways

Safety is critical for the success of the rail industry in India, particularly given the complexity and high-risk nature of railway operations. To foster safety, the All India Rail Safety Council (AIRSC) embraces a comprehensive safety culture that aligns with the standards and philosophies developed globally. The safety culture involves the interaction between the safety management systems, how individuals perceive and respond to these systems based on their attitudes, values, and beliefs, and the actions they take, which can be seen in their decisions and behaviours.

Key Components of AIRSC’s Safety Culture:
Safety Culture Declaration - A statement of the organization's commitment to maintaining a robust safety culture across its operations.

Safety Climate Survey - Regular assessments of safety practices and perceptions within the organization to ensure that safety is consistently prioritized.
Safety Leadership Training - Programs designed to equip leaders with the knowledge and tools to promote safety, enhance accountability, and lead by example.
